By accessing our Progressive Web App (PWA), creating an account, or using our scanning and logging services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sebastian Graef LLC.

2. Medical Disclaimer

GutSpec is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

The information provided by this application—including UPF levels, FODMAP compatibility, "Safe/Limit" verdicts, and meal recommendations—is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or other digestive conditions.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or dietary changes. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on GutSpec.

3. AI and Analysis Accuracy

GutSpec utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence (including computer vision and Large Language Models) to analyze images of food, menus, and ingredients. While we strive for high accuracy, AI technology is probabilistic and may occasionally produce errors, "hallucinations," or incorrect identifications.

• We cannot guarantee that ingredient lists extracted from images are 100% complete or accurate.
• We cannot guarantee that menu analysis in "Decision Mode" accounts for hidden ingredients or cross-contamination in restaurant kitchens.
• You acknowledge that you are using these analyses at your own risk and should verify critical dietary restrictions manually.

4. User Accounts and Data

To access GutSpec, you must authenticate using a valid account via our supported login providers. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

By using the app, you grant Sebastian Graef LLC a non-exclusive license to process the images you capture (such as food labels and menus) and the data you log (such as intake history and gut check-ins) to provide the service. We take your privacy seriously; please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and protected.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the GutSpec platform. Specifically, you will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application or its API.
• Upload images that are illegal, offensive, or unrelated to the intended purpose of the app (food and product scanning).
• Attempt to bypass the application's authentication or security measures.
• Use the application to harvest data or for any commercial solicitation.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the GutSpec application (excluding user-generated content) are and will remain the exclusive property of Sebastian Graef LLC. This includes the code, design, interface, and proprietary analysis algorithms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sebastian Graef LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or health complications resulting from your use of the service.

We expressly disclaim liability for any allergic reactions, digestive distress, or health issues that arise from consuming foods or products analyzed by the app. You are solely responsible for what you ingest.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Your continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
